The Senseful DownWool Jacket is an ultra-lightweight, warm, and minimalist outdoor insulation jacket with a small pack size. With its DownWool® insulation, this jacket provides a dry and balanced wearing experience, is resistant to high humidity, and adapts to temperature changes during active and rest phases, making it suitable for trekking, biking, and hiking.
Features:
Made from RDS-certified down, mulesing-free sheep wool from Europe and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified materials
The highly breathable PFC-free outer material is windproof and water-repellent.
Two-way auto lock zipper with a covered zipper protection guards against wind and can be opened from the bottom for more freedom of movement. The zipper puller allows for easy use even with gloves
Two outer pockets and two inner stash pockets provide ample storage.
Elastic cuffs and hem to keep wind and cold out
Stuff sack included
Specs
Outer and inner fabric: Non-coated, very pleasant, ultralight, durable, and recycled 20 Denier 380T nylon (100% polyamide). The special weave makes the fabric wind-resistant and, thanks to an eco-friendly impregnation, also water-repellent.
Filling: Medium size approximately 140 g DownWool® made of 70% high-quality duck down (90/10 with fill power of at least 700+ cuin) and 30% mechanically refined wool.
Weight: Medium size approximately 260 g.
Fit: Regular Fit (Jackets are slightly larger to allow for layering underneath).
Material: Shell 100% polyamide, filling 70% down/30% wool; contains non-textile parts of animal origin.
Usage: Trekking, biking, hiking, or breaks at the top of the mountain. It can be taken anywhere when a warming layer is needed during a break.
Care Instructions
Washing:
Washing instructions can be found in the jacket's inner pocket.
The jacket can be hand-washed with a down detergent at a maximum of 30°C/86°F. Please turn it inside out, close the zipper, perform an additional rinse, and do not use fabric softener.
Remove the item from the machine, loosen it slightly, and spin it lightly at the end (max. 600 rotations)!
Drying:
Dry in the tumble dryer at a maximum of 60°C/140°F and be sure to add 2-3 tennis balls for better fluffing.
Conduct multiple drying cycles and remove the item from the machine after each cycle, shake or fluff it well, and let it cool in between.
The dryer must be set on a timed program to fully dry the down.
If a dryer is not used, the jacket can be placed on a drying rack on sunny days, frequently shaken, allowing air from above and below to reach the jacket.
When Is the Drying Process Complete?
If the item still hasn't regained its original thickness, repeat the drying cycles until the jacket feels more filled than before.
Depending on the waterproofing of the outer material, the drying process can take different lengths (at least 2 days, depending on the dryer model).
The down must be completely dry. If the jacket is not properly dried and fluffed, there is a risk of clumping the down feathers. Moist down can smell, which dissipates when dry.
Tip:
Down jackets should be dried in the tumble dryer with tennis balls from time to time or after each tour to remove excess moisture.
Ventilating the jacket is better than washing it. DownWool® jackets rarely need to be washed as wool naturally possesses odour-resistant and dirt-repellent properties. For minor surface stains, we recommend gently cleaning the spot (as described above).
Greasy and heavily soiled jackets can be hand-washed.
